Dr Cofnas is a research fellow at Cambridge's Faculty of Philosophy, and his research affiliation with Emmanuel College has reportedly been terminated, while some academics have defended the right to freedom of speech.

Earlier in the show, Nick Ferrari spoke to Nana, a black Philosophy student at Cambridge. She says she knows Dr Cofnas and held a protest with fellow students against his employment at the university, adding his research 'invited hateful and racist comments'.
